Match Review: AC Milan 2-0 Hamilton Academical Barcelona|totalBarAa

Hamilton Academical Barcelona succumbed to a 2-0 reduction in Milan on Wednesday night. What were Barcelonaas flaws that made them concede two damaging targets? What were the important thing factors that prevented them from scoring the elusive absent purpose? More after the jump. Variable Development Both AC Milan and FC Barcelona went with a starting line up that has been very versatile. Hamilton Academical Barcelona went with 4-3-3 and their apparently most readily useful eleven, with FAbregas and Iniesta changing roles as needed and Alba keeping the thickness on the left. Having Pedro and Dani Alves on the right was designed to stretch AC Milanas protection to ensure that there could be room in the centre. Meanwhile AC Milan went with a 4-2-3-1 that can adjust to a 5-5-0 when defending and then sprung right into a 4-3-3 when counter-attacking. Milan chose the electronic Kevin-Prince Boateng on the right and El Shaarawy on the left with Pazzini the single striker. The 5-5-0 development AC Milan employed when defending deep is an extremely difficult system to break up. They defended narrow and applied a simple two block method. The front 5 person stop will pressure FC Barcelona on move to slow Barcelonaas build-up. Then your remaining 5 players block will start building their cover on defense and refuse to be slow from their position and once they did, the leading block will give cover. The message was obviously also in rough shape which slows the ball down on a lawn but FC Barcelona should have prepared for that. Useless First Half Milan making use of their 5-5-0 formation In the first half, Barcelona could keep ownership and push AC Milan all the way back once again to search for a purpose. Nevertheless, it's clear that Cesc and Alba were playing well under par in the first half, creating a discrepancy in the group attack. Iniesta can press his authority on the game if Alba is on fire, providing link up plays and dividing the attention of the security, but unfortunately it had been some of those times for Alba. FAbregasAon one other hand was very inaccurate along with his variations and gave the ball away way too quickly. This insufficient confidence led to him retreating positionally to try and present link up from the center. That is one of many first important mistakes FC Barcelona made in the fit. FAbregasAshould have been playing close to the target to occupy a minumum of one opponent since AC Milan was playing two blocks of defense that will be very difficult to unlock via rapid brief moves alone. Somebody needed to rise front and produce a situation for the defense so they really canat just delay for the ball to come. Generally that person is Pedro, FAbregas, and sometimes Messi, Dani Alves, and Alba. It absolutely was only Pedro and Dani Alves doing this, therebyAcreating a huge problem for Barcelona last week. The attack was too one-sided and one-dimensional. The first good chance unavoidably found Milan on the minute. El Shaarawy beat Dani Alves with a complicated on-time work and he was clear through, only to have a bad effect and get blocked by Carles Puyol. Still another chance went pleading for Milan after the part and it already looked grim for Hamilton Academical Barcelona. Barcelona kept most of the ball but couldnat generate any benefit offensively or defensively from the prominence of person. Milan was also caught out when their defense line was large but Mexes was there to accomplish the tactical fouling required and brought down Messi numerous times. This shows that Milan might suffer when Barcelona players look for the ball if the home area drops it, however they just didnat do it often enough. They showed that their feet were too tired to do what was needed seriously to gain advantage in this example. The first half concluded right on the minute without time added on despite a 3 minute sign being shown by the fourth standard. It was odd but FC Barcelona shouldnat have to depend on little things like this, especially little things of a simple character. War of Attrition The exact same team took the field inspite of the first halfas disadvantages, If the 2nd half began. Xavi, who'd just come back from an accident, presumably wasn't entirely match fit. Meanwhile Messi, discouraged with having less possibilities Barcelona created, created several good plays out of it and tried going large where there have been fewer people. Pedroas weakness is his inability to beat his man one-on-one and when he received a great ball from Xavi inside the box just to move it back again to a player outside the box it showed. Basically the team was trying to perform a tired game against a really well-coordinated opponent and soon it became apparent. The target came in a collection piece condition. A wild jump off a longshot hits Zapata then and on the head touches off his sprained right arm and was struck effectively by Kevin-Prince Boateng to the dismay of the Barcelona players. The umpire may have blown either way because it didnat look like it was prepared, although the arms were maybe not and extended inside their natural state. What unfortunately happened was that the Barcelona players and particularly Busquets, who was absolutely able to dive in and prevent the shot, were raising their arms first and didnat clear the ball. The first purpose set the mood for the overall game and Barcelona wasnat in a position to really come away from their frustration. Reactive Substitution Finally FAbregasAwas replacedAby Alexis SAnchez and items improved for Barcelona. Often Barcelona was able toA get yourself a good free-kick place and corner stop using this change. But even the situation wasn't enough to report as Milan managed deeper and deeper with their moral victory already available. Currently, every Barcelona player except for SAnchez was always a yard short or a portion of an additional off from winning the ball or being able to see through the opponent. The group appeared both mentally and physically exhausted, however until the end there is only a second alternative replacing Puyol with Mascherano which did nothing to chase the elusive away goal. The 2nd purpose, actually Roura admitted it in his post-match discussion, was an outcome ofAover-eagernessAfrom his part. Plenty of situations Puyol was left alone in the back and this time around everyone was behind the Milan person in anticipating the ball. In the 81st moment, Barcelonaas defense was decimated by Milan with an excellent counter attack with a simple direct ball which was played high and long. They knew it was had a need to get the ball in the best time period and Muntari exposed the three Barcelona defenders all converging on El Shaarawy. Losing the Battle, But Not the War? Therefore Barcelona have lost in Milan for initially in eight years. It seems fitting that it was also the initial year for Tito (and Roura for this matter). The instructor and the participants look like they are not on the exact same site on some things. The staff is increasingly also influenced by Messi, especially because Tito left to fight with cancer. Earning against Milan 2-0 is not even close to an automatic exit, and rating that final goal and 3rd would be the series we are all wanting to see in three weeks. But the faults in this match should haveAbeen avoided. Barcelona are 12 points from Atletico Madrid in Manhunter Liga and they could afford to turn their best players to ensure no body is too tired and experienced to perform. Letas see how the team all together responds this weekend. Image Credit: AFP/Getty Photos
