Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher Dies Previous 87

Margaret Thatcher, the former British Prime Minister, died today at the age of 87. Nicknamed The Iron Lady, Thatcher was a symbol in British politics. She was the first-ever feminine British Prime Minister when she was voted into office in 1979. Sheall be forever remembered for her hard stance from the unions as well as standing up for the British residents on the Falklands, a couple of distant countries in the south Atlantic Ocean that she went along to war with Argentina over. However in basketball circles, she will be remembered for her governmentas clumsy efforts in the mid-to-late 1980as to try to police the overall game such as an ID card effort that has been suggested by her government to filter out hooligans, which backfired. Thatcher was an integrated figure in the developments that occurred following the Hillsborough Tragedy in 1989. She was given lies by Merseyside Police that drunken fans caused the Hillsborough Disaster. Thatcher died today after enduring a stroke.
