The Titans were very active in free agency this year, and while spending that sort of cabbage can be a risky move, it appears to have filled a number of holes on the team.
The addition of Levitre went a long way towards strengthening the inside of a Tennessee offensive line that was soft up the gut last year, and while 10th overall may seem a high price tag for a guard, Kiper writes that "Adding Warmack simply provides an immediate upgrade on the interior of your offensive line. One of the more dominating run-blockers to enter the draft in years, Warmack is what I'd call a "no excuses" addition to your team."
Chalk up another vote for the All-American beefeater from Alabama. Of his decision to mock Warmack to the Titans, despite the addition of Levitre, Banks says "even with the Andy Levitre signing in free agency, Warmack's draft grade and value might make him too good to overlook, and give the Titans a chance to field a dominant, control-the-clock running game with Chris Johnson and Shonn Greene."
This is something of a surprise pick, especially after the Titans signed Kamerion Wimbley (a similar "tweener" type to Jones) only to see him disappoint in 2012. However, Rang sticks by his guns with the selection of Jones, stating that "with the ultra-aggressive Gregg Williams being added to the coaching staff, Webster and Co. might be looking for a pass-rushing toy for Williams to feature."
Much like the inside of the offensive front, the interior of the defensive line has been something of a sore spot for the Titans over the past few years. Brooks believe that's a hole that Utah defensive tackle Star Lotulelei would fill very nicely, calling Lotulelei a "disruptive force with the strength and power to own the point of attack between the tackles."
The Titans added a pair of strong safeties in George Wilson and Bernard Pollard in free agency, but after Michael Griffin struggled mightily in 2012 free safety remains a problem spot. Bleacher Report NFL Lead Writer Matt Miller feels that Vaccaro would address that issue very nicely, saying that "Vaccaro is a special player with the coverage ability to drop down and play in the slot or drop deep as a center fielder."
