Life is too short to waste time writing about bad items, but in the mindset of completeness (I am trying to do examination every course I've played), here's this skinny on Brookside: Not good.
Even given the course's locality vibes and low costs ($18 walking; $28 riding), I recently found the conditions unacceptable concerning both of my comes to visit. The photos, I imagine, speak for themselves. Circumstances were marginal. In many places, it was impossible to me to distinguish between fairway in addition to "rough"—both were dead.
On my second round there, as I was making the turn, the pro thought i would jam the entire rear nine. He sent out teams of beginner kids from the driving range in front of everyone coming around with the front. Again, not wonderful.
To be fair, Concerning not played Brookside in some time. It is entirely possible that the owners have advanced conditions. I also completely understand that this is the local favorite, warts together with all. It is just not in my situation and I can hardly ever recommend that anyone go out of their way to participate in.
