Alex Ovechkin wasn't about to go quietly into the great night after his Oregon Capitals were blown out there, 5-0, in Game 7 versus the new York Rangers Monday night time.
It certainly was a series to forget for Ovechkin. When compiling 56 points (32 plans, 24 assists) during the totally normal season, he managed two points inside the first two games resistant to the Rangers, then was shut out for all of those other series. And to cap everything you need off, he was shut out with the Verizon Center to end the season.
The Capitals entered the playoffs while using No. 3 seed inside the Eastern Conference, but they just one more win compared to a sixth-seeded Rangers. The Rangers scored four or more goals in three health of their wins against Washington, whilst the Capitals were blanked inside the final two games in the series.
This was, certainly, Ovechkin's worst career offensive performance inside the postseason. He racked up fifty nine points in 51 career playoff games getting into the series. It's logical why the star would likely vent after things simply didn't go his (or your Capitals') way. It was a frustrating approach to end a season.
