How about some place called the talocrural region where the foot and the leg meet? Nadal's fortunes are locked in there - including the VERY immediate ones.
With Djokovic's ankle assuming center stage for not just Nadal, you can bet even tomato cans will have him running ragged from side to side in the hope of producing what the sports world calls 'blood in the water'. Wonder if Nadal will follow suit, pant and thong IF Djokovic is still standing by the time semis roll around.
You can bet Nadal has thought of the possibilities in the aftermath of an injured Djokovic not just @ Roland Garros but at a place called the Far Far Land. With the precedent of last season when the Grandfather episode resulted in what the ankle situation can replicate now, can you freaking blame him?
Djokovic will have to bear that 'suspicion' until proven otherwise - emphatically. Like winning Roland Garros - over Nadal. Without it he is susceptible and vulnerable to attacks just as Federer is to his backhand.
All that without even factoring in Djokovic's own inclination to 'protect' the joint and thereby creating a mental block at his own free flowing contraption.
You need just one marble up there to realize this ankle problem is NOT the result of some deviant step but rather a product of Djokovic's style of play thereby producing the reasoning that just 'wash, rinse, repeat' will be enough to aggravate the problem to a sufficient degree to render him 'toothless'.
As a fan, you could be robbed of some exciting stretch of tennis lasting at least a couple more years as Murray is woefully incapable - mentally and physically - to stand up to Nadal - on any surface.
It's time for Federer to step in and help Djokovic recover and avoid the trap as he has a major bone in the fight as well. Nadal being home free at this form and stage cannot be good to anyone not called Nadal.
