Hockey goalies are stereotypically crazy, but Philadelphia Flyers goalie Ilya Bryzgalov exceeds the stereotypes of an overpaid, maligned Russian baseball goaltender. He is whatever a much stronger version of an "oddball" is normally. He is an oddfield, or simply something. And because he made $10 million to remain below average last 12 months, Flyers fans aren't keen on him. This angered the Ruskies and made him open off on the media at the end of this season. He says funny things always. He also says confounding issues.
"Positive. My partner and i see logic in this action. Not without going beyond the boundary, of course. But he located power in a country that had just lived through the revolution. There were many spies, enemies, traitors there. A lot of consumers still had guns following your civil war. The country was in ruins, [people] needed so that you can survive somehow. The country must be rebuilt, and in order for doing that it needed to be held in iron arms. Then WWII began. A lot of people came back from which war with guns additionally. There was devastation all about, the country had to become rebuilt, had to be ready to defend itself. There were countless criminals. "
"Yes, he knew what he was doing. He or she is described as a 'bloody tyrant. ' But during the time it couldn't be some other way. Yes, there were innocent those who were victims of repressions… It also happens. Not long ago in the usa a person was unveiled from prison, who used up 45 years there. It been found he was innocent. Do you imagine, a person put in his entire life in jail for something he didn't do. "
Not surprisingly, I must throw that "he's Russian and It looks like the interview was inside Russian, so there may just be translation/context issues, " caveat inside here. Also, know that this interview was taken all the way down.
It is probably not best for any disliked player to praise certainly one of history's biggest mass-murderers, but My organization is no expert. And I'm confused he has anywhere to travel but up, so perhaps this will engender him with a four Stalin/Flyers crossover fans which will exist.
