Kevin Davies' send-off was not a mythic ending however it was a lot more than appropriate

After having a decade of incredible thoughts, a new era will be begun by Bolton with no ever-present Kevin Davies in their ranks. It is fair to say that an SKD goal at the death to send Bolton Wanderers into the playoffs might have been the great ending to the captain's Trotters period. That never had an opportunity of happening because the team leader was left out of the match day team. That has been the right contact. Dougie Freedman did not yield to emotion and arguably made the call in not identifying Kevin Davies to the counter. Therefore, the Bolton legend wouldn't have a role to play as Wanderers received 2-2 against Blackpool and missed from the playoffs by the smallest of margins. Both of the strikers that Dougie called to the counter were used and both did their best to influence the outcome of the match with the former being the true game-changer and the latter offering added bite at the end. Kevin Davies would get his good-bye when all was said and done. The ultimate whistle had blown, the team had to be able to discuss what happened in the dressing room, and the people emerged back onto the message. Bolton promoter and great friend of the blog, Enzo Gambaro, described the send-off for those not at the Reebok: "I am delighted that Kev got proper send-off. Right decision not to enjoy him but classy to offer him a goodbye. "A lap of honour and his kids were taken by him round the pitch with Super Kev chants calling out. The participants recommended him off. It absolutely was appropriate and touching. "It did not affect the match and gave both the fans and him slightly of catharsis after current events." Kevin Davies and his family can move ahead to confirmed unannounced pastures new and we, along with every other Bolton Wanderers fan available, wish them the most effective of luck. There's undoubtedly it'll be strange seeing Super Kev in another team's top but it is what is best for all parties.
